The silence of forms

Traditionally, the first floor of country houses was where the bedrooms for the members of the family were. In the case of Alcaufar Vell, the Don Joan Mercadal Pons suite, owner of Alcaufar and other estates like Palacio Mercadal, Mongofre, S’Albufera des Grau, Sa Cudia o Biniarroca, even conserves part of its original floor and the desk where the owner went through his documents. Next to the chamber he even had a small chapel which is a delight, today closed however, awaiting future restoration.
